I started my I.T. career in 2008 working as an application support analyst. I set a goal to become a second-line engineer within the next 3 years while studying for I.T. certifications to help boost my career. I eventually became a field engineer working in the automotive industry, and stayed for 7 years, gaining hands-on experience with physical hardware setup/troubleshooting.
I then decided it was time to find a new challenge and I was lucky enough to land a Support Desk role for a recruitment company, where I worked for 3 years allowing me to use what I had learned and gain more experience as a System administrator, looking after the internal system and managing the internal service desk. But since starting Oakleaf I have set myself new goals to assist with the growth and success of the company.
In my spare time! I try to exercise when I can, I try to keep up with my I.T. learning to keep myself challenged. I believe doing the activities you enjoy can help with your mental health.
