After a rugby tour to South Africa in 1999 I was adamant that I wanted to move to Cape Town to study and continue to play rugby. Unfortunately, this wasn’t to be and I did the next best thing and moved to Cardiff. It just so happened that Wales were hosting the Rugby World Cup. 7 years later I returned to London a qualified teacher and embarked on a short-lived but very insightful and rewarding teaching career. Like many people in recruitment I “fell into it” and spent 12.5 successful years recruiting into the education market predominantly placing teachers and senior leaders. I have now decided to make a change in sector to challenge myself and I’m excited by the opportunity Oakleaf has presented me.
Away from work, I enjoy watching sport, in particular, rugby, going to the gym, and walking my two rotties, Samson and Oscar. I’m a keen traveller, especially taking trips to Europe on my bike, and love skiing. This year I aim to become more involved in charity work and take up pilates!
