Oakleaf Partnership is representing a highly respected, global Bank known for its commitment to diversity and innovation. We are seeking an Interim EPMO to oversee and govern the Bank’s critical transformation initiatives. In this key role, you will ensure alignment between the transformation portfolio and the bank’s strategic goals, establishing robust methodologies and tools for portfolio, programme, and change management to drive effective governance and reporting.

What is the role
In this role, you will develop and maintain the enterprise portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s long-term goals. You will manage the 3+ year transformation plan, adjusting the roadmap through quarterly reviews, and oversee the annual plan. You’ll establish and refine governance structures to enhance decision-making quality and speed, driving agile portfolio management and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
As the lead for governance of the Programme Steering Board, you will facilitate informed decision-making, manage risks, and oversee the Bank’s transformation and investment decisions. You will also build and improve a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for transformation methodology and portfolio management, acting as a key source of documentation, guidance, and reporting.
You will champion the simplification of governance processes while maintaining focus on transformation goals. In addition, you’ll oversee portfolio tooling and provide accurate data and metrics to inform decision-making. You will ensure the EPMO evolves to meet changing needs and advise stakeholders on agile methodologies, proactively addressing at-risk projects and providing senior management with key insights and recommendations.
Skills & Experience
- To apply you must have demonstrable experience of delivering successful portfolio and programme management in complex Financial Services organisations, utilising agile methodologies.
- You must have Programme and Project Management qualifications such as SaFE, MSP, MoP, and experience in Agile and adaptive governance practices are essential.
- Demonstrable experience in strategic planning, oversight and optimisation.
- Demonstrable experience in managing and overseeing resources, budgets, benefits
- Experience in developing, communicating and enforcing portfolio, programme and project methodologies, templates & tools.
- Experience in leading and developing teams, and adapting effective ways of working in a a complex environment,
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to influence different business areas and management levels
- Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team, as well as those not under direct line management
