My client is looking for a strong generalist advisor with a specialism and passion for employee relations. You will play a crucial role in managing a variety of employee relations cases. Your responsibilities will include handling low-level performance issues, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Additionally, you will be involved in all aspects of a generalist role including a small restructure in which you will ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve ER cases, including performance issues, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
- Participate in organisational changes, providing support and guidance.
- Maintain accurate employer records and remain unfazed by employer of record complexities.
- Build and nurture relationships with managers, identifying their needs and moving towards a partnership approach.
- Navigate a demanding workforce with patience and understanding.
- Provide calming and reassuring support to both employees and managers.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in handling a variety of ER cases.
- Strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with managers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and reassuring in challenging situations.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to ambiguity and change.
- Experience in a start-up environment is a plus, but not essential.
