Job Description:


A dynamic and experienced Employee Relations Manager is sought to take ownership of the HR workstream for various Workforce Change and Restructuring projects within Investment Banking/Trading. These include restructures, redundancies, TUPE transfers, senior exits, outsourcing/insourcing, mergers, acquisitions, and more. This role provides the opportunity to lead complex and large-scale change programs across global locations, ensuring effective delivery in line with company policies and legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR workstream for Workforce Change and Restructuring, ensuring all stages are managed effectively, including planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage people impact assessments and consultation strategies, working with unions, works councils, and employee representatives.
  • Develop and execute communication plans and consultation materials to support change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations, Career Transition Services, and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of changes.
  • Ensure adherence to Workforce Change standards, escalating any emerging risks to leadership.
  • Contribute to strategy development, managing resources, budgets, and continuous improvements.
  • Drive and support change programs across different regions, leveraging global HR functions.
  • Advise senior management and key stakeholders on functional impacts, risks, and governance.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Handling ER within Investment Banking/Trading environments.
  • Proven experience in Workforce Change Management and leading change programs.
  • Expertise in leading Union/Works Council consultations.
  • Strong understanding of current employment legislation.
  • Strong project management, change management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in highly matrixed organizations and across diverse geographies.
  • Advanced analytical and data skills, including proficiency in Excel.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Knowledge of reward structures and HR service processes.
  • Experience with cross-border change programs and cultural sensitivities.
  • Influential and committed to driving change and delivering results.
