Head of People (Europe & Asia) – Fixed Term Contract

About the Company

Our client, a leading investment business with seven global offices-London (HQ), Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, Boston, San Francisco, and Texas are seeking a Head of People to cover a period of maternity.

The firm has experienced 150% headcount growth in the past five years and continues to expand. Structured into two key teams- Investment and Global Operations the firm is known for its high-performance, people-oriented culture, providing a ‘white-glove’ service and fostering strong collaboration.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Global COO, with a dotted line to the Heads of EMEA and Asia, this individual will lead regional HR operations, manage a team of HR generalists, and partner with senior stakeholders across London, Paris, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The role involves overseeing the performance and compensation cycles, supporting an office relocation project, and contributing to the opening of a Middle East office. Collaboration with the North American People team is essential to ensure global consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Management: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders (COO, Heads of EMEA, London, and Asia) to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Project Leadership: Oversee key initiatives, including the office relocation and Middle East office setup, driving timelines and communications.
  • Performance & Compensation: Manage the 2025 year-end performance and compensation cycle, collaborating with the US team and ensuring process improvements.
  • Compliance & ER: Provide expert guidance on employee relations and compliance across Europe and Asia, working with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing HR team, oversee business operations (Office Manager, EAs, and front-of-house), and handle escalations.
  • Global Collaboration: Engage regularly with the US People team, ensuring alignment with global policies and cross-jurisdictional sensitivities.
  • Employee Engagement: Lead initiatives such as engagement surveys and communication strategies to promote a strong company culture.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in senior HR leadership roles, ideally in financial or professional services within a global or multi-regional matrixed organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with experience supporting office relocations or similar initiatives.
  • Proficiency in leading performance and compensation cycles within global frameworks.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-performance environments with a partnership or matrix structure.
  • Strong analytical (Excel) and communication (PowerPoint) skills.
