HR Advisor
Location: Chicago, Illinois; Atlanta, Georgia; St. Louis, Missouri; or Denver, Colorado
Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000
Position Overview:
The organization is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join its dynamic team and provide comprehensive support to the Business Partner (BP) in the firm’s largest department. This vital role is essential for maintaining operational effectiveness and delivering exceptional support to fee earners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a law firm environment, with demonstrated experience in supporting legal professionals. In this capacity, the HR Advisor will serve as a trusted resource for the BP, facilitating effective employee relations and fostering a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the BP to ensure alignment on HR strategies and initiatives tailored to the Litigation department.
- Provide expert advice and support to fee earners on employee relations matters, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Assist in managing and resolving employee relations issues, conducting investigations as necessary, and providing guidance on appropriate resolutions.
- Maintain effective communication with employees to understand their needs and concerns, acting as a liaison between management and staff.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Contribute to training and development initiatives to support the professional growth of fee earners.
- Serve as a resource for the BP, providing timely updates and insights on HR-related matters to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm setting, with direct experience supporting legal professionals.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, labor laws, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while also being a team player.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
