Oakleaf Partnership are representing a prestigious and forward-thinking insurance firm who are seeking an HR assistant to provide HR support across all business areas.
This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of HR service, ensuring smooth operations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team that values teamwork.
About the role
The HR Generalist will serve as a primary point of contact for routine HR queries such as absence, family-friendly policies, changes to terms and conditions of employment, probationary reviews, and HRIS queries.
Responsibilities include managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from preparing job specifications and candidate profiles to scheduling interviews and providing feedback. The role also involves onboarding, background vetting, contract preparation, and conducting company inductions.
Additional duties involve managing the leaver process, assisting with redundancies, and conducting exit interviews.
The HR Assistant will participate in performance and salary reviews, support employee relations issues and prepare monthly management reports. The role requires coordinating company training, managing relationships with external providers, and contributing to HR operational process improvements. The HR Generalist will also handle facilities issues, ensure workplace assessments are completed, and support ongoing HR initiatives and projects.
Candidate profile/experience
The ideal candidate will be degree-educated, CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD, with previous HR experience in a corporate environment. The HR Assistant will possess meticulous attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and diplomacy. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with HRIS systems are essential.
The candidate should be proactive, capable of identifying opportunities for performance improvement, and adept at building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A thorough understanding of employment law and regulatory requirements is crucial. The role demands a positive attitude, resilience under pressure, and a commitment to continuous personal development.
