I am working in partnership with a dynamic organisation seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team. The HR function is service-driven, supporting a variety of academic faculties and professional services divisions. The organisation prides itself on fostering an inclusive and diverse culture, continually striving for excellence. The HR Business Partner will play a key role in supporting people strategies and delivering HR services across the organisation.
Main Purpose of the Job:
The HR Business Partner will work closely with key stakeholders to operationalise strategic people objectives, develop people solutions, and manage organisational risk. This hands-on role requires proactive support and guidance for line managers throughout the employee lifecycle, with a focus on evidence-based insights and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and implement local people strategies that align with the overall organisational objectives.

Leading and managing talent management and succession planning efforts, ensuring a diverse and robust talent pipeline.

Supporting the recruitment process for senior roles, coordinating inclusive and effective attraction and selection campaigns.

Partnering with line managers and relevant teams to improve the diversity of senior leadership within the organisation.

Advising line managers on informal employee relations issues and working with the Employee Relations Team to address formal cases.

Working closely with line managers to implement training and development plans that support retention and succession.

Ensuring appraisals are carried out effectively, good performance is recognised, and poor performance is addressed.

Assisting with the implementation of 360-degree feedback processes.

Partnering with the Workplace Health team to foster a culture of wellbeing within the organisation.

Contributing to the job evaluation process and supporting organisational change initiatives.

Engaging with local HR teams to ensure the consistent application of HR policies and procedures.

Coaching and training line managers on HR best practices, policies, and procedures.

Participating in working groups and contributing to project work and research that supports the organisation’s HR strategy.
Key Requirements:

Must have higher education experience – the client will not accept CV’s with out this experience.

Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a senior HR role, preferably within a large, complex organisation.

Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and organisational development strategies.

Demonstrable experience in talent management, employee relations, and recruitment, with the ability to manage senior-level appointments.

Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Experience in managing HR processes such as performance management, succession planning, and diversity initiatives.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and maintain organisational effectiveness.
