As HR Manager, you will oversee the entire HR lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This is a key role in maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring our team members are motivated and supported.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Lead end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, interviews, and hiring decisions.
Oversee smooth onboarding processes, ensuring all training and documentation are completed.
Maintain and update employee records using Bright HR and Google Drive.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries and employee concerns.
Implement and oversee performance management processes, including regular reviews.
Ensure adherence to company policies, including training, uniform, and badge bond agreements.
Manage disciplinary procedures and issue formal warnings when necessary.
HR Policies & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with UK employment laws and company policies.
Maintain and update the employee handbook.
Oversee sickness policy implementation, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Handle confidential documentation with discretion and professionalism.
Employee Engagement & Culture
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance company culture.
Organise team-building activities and role-playing sessions to enhance collaboration.
Conduct mystery shopping and collect employee feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Training & Development
Oversee training programs for new hires, covering technical skills and customer service excellence.
Ensure all therapists and staff meet company standards before commencing work.
Organise and conduct exams for new starters.
HR Administration & Reporting
Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring timely documentation of contracts and policy acknowledgments.
Track and manage Phorest stock levels for retail and professional products.
Provide weekly HR updates to senior management and participate in Monday management meetings.
Handle grievances, complaints, and mediation when required.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the beauty or wellness industry.
Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with experience using Bright HR and Phorest (preferred).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
Experience in training, onboarding, and performance management.
