We are seeking a skilled and experienced Employee Relations/HR Specialist to join this amazing organisation for an initial 12 month fixed term contract. You will be offering expert advice and support on a range of employee relations matters in both the UK and US. Reporting to the ER and HR Policy Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fair and consistent resolution of issues such as grievances, disciplinary actions, performance management, and terminations, in alignment with policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations policies, best practices, and legal requirements.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues (grievances, performance, disciplinary) in a timely and effective manner.
- Prepare and review documentation, ensuring legal and organisational compliance.
- Track and manage cases to conclusion, collaborating with HR Business Partners and stakeholders.
- Monitor trends, provide feedback to HR leadership, and contribute to policy development.
- Deliver training on employee relations topics like conflict resolution and diversity.
- Stay updated on legislative changes, ensuring advice is current and relevant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Law, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of employee relations experience managing varied caseloads.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with US employment law knowledge being desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 5+ or working towards it.
- Experience working in a global business with a matrix structure.
