Instructional Designer – Onsite

A leading financial services organization specializing in residential mortgages is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and deliver impactful training programs. Role Overview:

The Instructional Designer will create engaging learning experiences to enhance employee training and business performance. This role involves developing instructional materials for various training formats, including classroom, virtual, and eLearning environments. The ideal candidate will have strong instructional design expertise, a creative mindset, and experience working with authoring tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop compelling course content and training programs that enhance knowledge retention and application.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to assess training needs and develop targeted learning solutions.
  • Define instructional objectives and align content with business goals.
  • Utilize instructional design theories, best practices, and learning methodologies to optimize training effectiveness.
  • Create interactive learning activities, simulations, and role-playing exercises to engage learners.
  • Develop supporting training materials, including audio, video, and digital content.
  • Establish assessment criteria to evaluate learner performance and program success.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and course materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with coursework in instructional design, education, or a related field.
  • Experience in instructional and conceptual design, with a strong understanding of training development principles.
  • Prior experience facilitating training programs.
  • Background in curriculum development within the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate, or similar platforms.
  • Strong editing and publishing skills preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Additional Information:

Employees are required to have a smartphone that meets security standards for installing company-approved authentication apps. Employment is contingent on meeting this requirement.
