Learning and Development Advisor – Early Careers

Oakleaf Partnership is representing a highly reputable, successful and established Accountancy Firm with a positive working environment. This organisation is looking for a Learning and Development Advisor, responsible for their Early Careers employees where you will be responsible for shaping the learning and development journey of their trainees. What is the role

  • Developing and implementing study plans in collaboration with managers and partners, ensuring study policies are up-to-date and aligned with business needs.
  • Providing guidance on apprenticeship onboarding and qualification pathways, delivering study-related sessions during trainee inductions.
  • Working with the Team Lead and business stakeholders to improve the Trainee Development Programme and enhance learning initiatives.
  • Managing professional qualifications alongside trainee progress, supporting exam resits or alternative study pathways, and utilising the Apprenticeship levy.
  • Coordinating programmes contributing to budget planning and maintain L&D student resources, including intranet content.
  • Overseeing the student results day process, provide study plan and exam outcome advice, and serving as a key contact for trainees on study and qualification queries.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with external training providers while working with the Diversity & Inclusion team to promote fair and inclusive trainee experiences.
  • Collaborating with the wider HR function to ensure a holistic service, supporting the Early Careers recruitment team during peak times as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You must have Experience in Learning & Development for Early Talent populations within Accountancy or Consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of Accountancy qualifications, apprenticeships, and early careers development.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships from junior trainees to senior stakeholders
