Interim Legal Administrative Assistant

We are working with a prestigious, global law firm who need a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. As part of the Legal Support Services team, you’ll provide high-quality administrative and legal support to partners, attorneys and professionals in disputes and transactions. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, legal knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The role?
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and business professionals, including managing client billing, attorney travel arrangements, and expense reports.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, conference calls (Teams and Zoom), and maintain detailed calendars.
- Create, format, and revise documents in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Assist with overflow tasks across various departments as needed, ensuring seamless collaboration within the team.
- Serve as a reliable team player, providing backup support and covering for team members when required.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with attorneys, clients, and other firm departments, delivering high-quality service consistently.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 6+ years of administrative experience gained in a law firm.
- Experience using legal billing software such as Aderant to time keep and process hours on behalf of legal professionals.
- Substantial experience managing calendars, booking travel and coordinating events.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to interact with team members, lawyers, clients and other firm departments on a daily basis.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, using a proactive mindset and solutions focused approach to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform advanced document formatting, conversions and redlining.
- Possesses strong practice area knowledge with the ability to understand legal terminology and documentation.
