Manager of Attorney Professional Development

$150,000-$175,000 + bonus + benefits

Our client is one of the world’s leading law firms. They have an amazing opportunity for a Learning and Development expert to join their firm as a Manager of Attorney Professional Development, developing and shaping the firm’s strategic professional development function.

Responsibilities:

  • Support local and regional implementation of the firm’s strategic direction for attorney professional development.
  • Develop and deliver training programs at both regional and firmwide levels that align with professional, business, and client-service goals. Propose, design, and introduce new initiatives as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and quantity of attorney training opportunities, collecting relevant data and preparing reports.
  • Oversee and support the Professional Development Coordinator’s tracking of California CLE compliance for lawyers.
  • Communicate compliance status to California-admitted lawyers and work with the Coordinator, Director, and Office of General Counsel to achieve full compliance firmwide.
  • Partner with the Director and relevant firm committees to continuously enhance attorney orientation, lateral integration programs, and summer associate training. Respond to identified training needs and contribute to overall attorney development.
  • Track CLE compliance requirements for California-based attorneys licensed in other jurisdictions, as delegated by the Director.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in learning and development in the legal industry.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong skills in formatting presentations, graphs, charts, and other visual aids
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple offices and time zones
