About the Role
As an Organisational Design and Development manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading large-scale organisational effectiveness programmes and initiatives. You will work collaboratively with business leaders and key stakeholders to optimise efficiency, enhance productivity, and embed clear accountabilities and ways of working across the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Organisational Effectiveness team, which provides subject matter expertise and drives transformational change across the business in support of our business and people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Scope, design, and deliver large-scale organisational effectiveness, restructuring, and workforce transition projects.
- Lead multiple complex programmes simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Work with senior leaders to shape and influence organisation design and change initiatives using best-practice frameworks, models, and tools.
- Develop and implement people change plans, including change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, and embedding plans.
- Ensure organisational change translates effectively into business processes, job roles, governance, and ways of working.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, acting as a role model in organisational effectiveness.
- Use data and insights to inform programme decisions and continually assess progress to optimise business benefits.
- Maintain compliance with policies, processes, and employment legislation while driving best practices.
- Keep up to date with the latest trends in organisational effectiveness and change management, ensuring Heathrow remains at the forefront of transformation.
- Potentially take accountability for workforce planning, ensuring Heathrow has the right organisational controls for effective forecasting and workforce management.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong generalist People/HR background in a complex, large-scale organisation.
- Proven experience in delivering organisational effectiveness, design, and people change initiatives within a unionised and dynamic environment.
- Expertise in organisation design principles and change methodologies.
- Ability to simplify complex and ambiguous challenges, translating them into actionable plans.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in influencing senior management and key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to use insights to drive decision-making.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- High levels of resilience and adaptability, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office 365 tools and applications
