Oakleaf Partnership are representing a leading global law firm to search for a recruitment professional to join their lateral recruitment team in London. It is a permanent role that offers exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in attracting top talent.

What is the role

The role will involve working closely with practice groups and in-house teams to identify, engage, and secure exceptional legal professionals who will contribute to the firm’s continued success and growth.

Responsibilities include are not limited too:

  • Lead direct sourcing initiatives using advanced online tools and research methodologies to identify and engage passive candidates in the market
  • Build and nurture relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle, from initial contact through to onboarding
  • Leverage your knowledge of London and other UK and international legal markets to provide valuable insights to Hiring Partners
  • Manage relationships with preferred recruitment agencies to maximize value and gain market intelligence
  • Drive transformational change in recruitment practices to eliminate bias and foster diversity-confident hiring
  • Conduct candidate screenings and HR interviews to assess suitability and communicate the firm’s culture and values
  • Become a superuser of Workday and relevant AI recruitment tools
  • Support recruitment campaigns, including creating online content and updating role descriptions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and recruitment best practices

Candidate profile / experience

The successful candidate will have experience of recruiting legal fee earners previously whether that is internally or with an agency.

You will also possess:

  • Has a strong background in recruitment and talent sourcing within professional services
  • Communicates confidently and eloquently, with the ability to be both persuasive and empathetic
  • Can adapt their approach to different working styles and relationships
  • Is detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Effectively manages conflicting priorities while delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines
  • Works collaboratively with immediate team members and the wider HR function
  • Is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
