Oakleaf Partnership are supporting a global organisation looking for an experienced HR Manager to join their Netherlands site on a short-term basis to support a key HR transition project. This is a 3-month fixed-term contract, offering flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a genuine impact from day one.

What is the role?

The local site has been without dedicated HR support for some time, and there’s now a need for someone who can confidently step in, assess what’s there, and bring things up to standard.

You’ll be working on a mix of operational HR tasks and light transformation work – reviewing processes, improving organisation, and helping transfer HR admin to a centralised function abroad.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and organising HR files and records: ID, qualifications, personnel files, templates, etc.
  • Ensuring local compliance and documentation are up to date
  • Translating and documenting HR processes from Dutch into English for broader business use
  • Supporting the handover of administrative functions to a shared services team overseas
  • Working closely with senior HR and shared services colleagues to keep things on track
  • Being on-site to access physical files, scan documents, and ensure quality

Candidate profile:

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be fluent in both Dutch and English, with solid generalist HR experience-ideally at Advisor or Manager level. We’re looking for someone who’s confident working independently, can quickly bring structure to day-to-day operations, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. A strong understanding of Dutch employment law and compliance is essential, as is a practical, hands-on approach to HR. The role offers great flexibility-3 to 4 days a week, school hours friendly, with a mix of remote and on-site work. This is an urgent requirement, so we’re especially keen to hear from candidates who are available immediately or can start at short notice.
